G'day Dave,

Yeah points if you are lucky enough to make the final T 1 in every 9 games . Dave it's not so easy with more runners :)

It's not EASIER, but the fact is there are more points available, full stop.

I'm not saying the system should change at all. But why do you think people go to the large venues to chase points? It's the potential for more points, not easier/harder fields.

No argument here Sir ,
We get plenty of blowin's .

But things do change , I've had great online seasons & great away seasons .As has Giz ,She is just better @ putting them in the same season . Where as I do good in 1 or the other , But not in the same season .
Jo has done great in many so has Scott . & who's too say they won't again ?

Yep, I know.

Just like a septic tank; the really big chunks will always rise to the top.

I'm just stating that it's a graded advantage. You don't find DT "combatants" fighting it out at venuse with sub-25 runners.

If you look at the average you need for the DT away events, and then cross-reference that with events where you can score that, you'll find that there are a lot less venuse you can play at to get these points.

It's an uneven playing field which is by no means an negative to 888PL. As soon as you have a set leaderboard for events that are in different states, against different people with different amounts of runners, there will be conjecture.

But, yeah, chunks

:)

Its all good...

Now instead of people moving up to Qld from Vic in droves every year, just for the sun , sand, surf n sex, now you have poker as well :!: :!: :P

It just gets better and better, Queesland, Perfect 1 day better the next...

Yes i guess we are blessed that we can play 8 venues a week that have an average of 100 players in each, myself I MIGHT get to 1 or 2 a week,( usually 1) contrary to popular belief, we still have to work for a living.

Like has been said this is the 1st season where Qld'ers have had a chance to play for the DT, give it a season or 2 and you will probably see it even out some.

I thought there would be a split on this.
To be honest I don't even chase the points just think it is now a little uneven playing field.

With the online games now you don't seem to have a field larger than 35 players in the x5, so you can't really get than many more dream team points.

It has become a fact that the majority of dreamteam points will be accumulated buy playing at venues,(probably not a bad thing).
I can see people that currently chase dream team points by travelling to numerous venues
(with 50 - 75 players), stopping as they are unable to compete with players that are able to play in fields of 100+ players every day without the trouble of travelling to far.

First things first here
Congratulations to Ralph Borja for taking out the Dreamteam so convincingly.
Ralph first, daylight 2nd ! Well done.
Now, lets just have a look at the point structure in the Dreamteam system. Currently a combination of top 10 venue game average + the top 10 home game average.
The top 10 home game average is the same for everyone as it is a National sytem for all to be a part of, and equal points for all.
The top 10 venue game average though is incredibly different State by State.
Peter Cooper won the SA title for season 3, and congratulations to Pete. Great guy, well deserved. His average was 337.5. If he was in Qld with that average, he would have finished 38th in that state. No fault of Petes. He achieved the highest average score in SA with the points that are available in SA. However with the Dreamteam winner Ralph Borja scoring 647.43, Pete would need a home game AVERAGE of 309.93. Sorry, but that is impossible. Wabbit won the season 3 Home Scoreboard with an average of 198.1...How is Pete supposed to achieve a home scoreboard average of over 300 ? It can't be done.
If we look at the top 10 Dreamteam, 5 of the top 6 are Queenslanders, and well done to them all. Not knocking anyone here, number one only had an on line average of 60..and only played 19 games, because thats all that was required. With his State average of 580, a home scoreboard average of 10 would have still won it for him. His base score of 580 was enough to take the title. There is no way a SA, Vic, or Tas player can ever achieve those numbers
As for the Tasmanians, they haven't had a shot at this at all, again, not their fault, simply the points are not available for them to compete.
Well done to the Queenslanders, they received big points because they have big numbers. Appreciate that, problem is that in other states we do not have the opportunity to compete because the numbers are not there.
Hope this is taken in the manner it is intended. It is purely an observation based on factual statistics . Not a criticism of anyone. Tricky one to find an answer to, granted.

Congratulations to everyone that had a great season 3.
Stupid game..... Never playing again

I was about to post something similar Pete.

Check out these two people in the top 10 on the Dreamteam:

Ralph Borja
Home Average : 76
Away Average : 580.53

I called Scott up just before.
When he came second in the Dreamteam, his averages were:

Scott Murrin
Home Average : 510 (approx)
Away Average : 245 (approx)

That's a difference of over 400 POINTS AVERAGE for home events. Problem is, the home events are an even field, so people like Scott can't really get more points, but can you imagine a QLDer's score if they averaged 510 home?

Ralph would have an average over 1000. Impossible for a South Australian or Tasmanian (and probably a Victorian).

Ralph played at the Pine Rivers Golf Club.. and played 47 games in one season. Those numbers just aren't available in other places.

Look at 6th on the leaderboard..

Pera Turei

6th on the leaderboard, with a home average of 11.76!

The total points that QLDers have in the DT isd a flawed perception as to how they can get points. It's not until you split them up that you can see that if the numbers even reduce in a season, it will be impossible once they work out (properly) how the online system works.

And for the record, this is in no way having a go at the 888PL, QLD, nor Ralph Borja!
