G'day Brett ,
Something like that happened to me after I got banned & tried to get back in to 888 . They wanted all my details , i,e. Drivers license , utilities bill . lol . I don't have either . Funnier even was my Sports Bet account . Which was given too me by 888pl was closed down a few months later , would not except the same form of I.D that I had sent to 888 . & is still in limbo FFS .

i think most of us have had that email, unfortunately the best thing to do is just give them the documents and then you can play again

i agree though their email needs to be tidied up a lot, it is vague

Ok, so you've now been pretty clearly told it's not a scam.

What's the problem again?
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Oh..

Like when someone refuses to give details out for an ID check, yet the ID check is actually for their protection?

Not sure I understand that.

Problem is it should not happen FFS

We all had to show I.D , to start playing 888pl/Npl , when we first started . Many have used pay & play cards or their own credit cards to add monies 2 their own accounts . So why then should someone's account be shut down after a few months , when there has been no MONEY transfers ????

Must be my mistake then...

I thought I read something about "is this a scam?"

then I thought I read something else about "no, it's not a scam"

it seems to have now turned into "waahhhhhh I'm not getting my own way and there's all these rules and I'm freaking out man! I'M FREAKING OUT!"

In all seriousness, if someone doesn't want to send their info, that's totally up to them. That does kind of revoke the right to complain about it though.

Inconvenient? yep it sure is - no arguments on that front.

Necessary? It sure is and anyone who suggests otherwise is absolutely foolish and ignorant.

I bet there'd be an awful lot more sooking if someone attempted to impersonate someone else and those checks weren't in place.

Might be better to think of it as a necessary evil.

does it really need to be explained again for the 87th time that 888pl and 888 do not share information and they are different companies?

in fact, it would probably be illegal for 888pl to give out our information as we havent' explicitly consented to it.

If I wanted to stay "off the grid" I would have fake documents already and would have no hesitation of sending them through as it just validates the fake documents even more. Sure there are people out there who are more than happy to give away their details to anyone who asks for them but they usually end up on A Current Affair with some sob story.

No it's not a scam, I knew that when my account got disabled. Its the account getting disabled so you can't even play when I've been playing for over a year that sucks. Sure if I don't provide the details i want then stop me from making transfers/withdrawals until I do. I'm fine with that but to just disable the account? Whats to stop me from opening up a new account??

This is all moot though because as mentioned 888pl doesn't have any control over 888. I was merely asking the question if anything could be done and trying to find out why I needed to provide these details if I'm not withdrawing and why the account gets total disabled. Sending the documents is the only way and that's my choice to do it or not, simple. It appears as though there are a lot of other ppl who have had this happen to them so it may come as a heads up to others.
