perhaps a poll. Have you watched the dvd? or worse still have you burned the dvd?

I set fire to one and "watched the DVD" getting "burned".

They should've been on re-writable discs so at least players would take them home and use them.

Actually, I'm gonna try that.....offer them the Poker DVD or a blank disc!

I think this thread has reached it's end.

The DVDs are dull, i'll give you that much. How many players have actually watched the thing though? I would say only 5%. I would doubt any more than that as it would have all ready shown up in there game (hehe)

The whole Annabelle VS Garth thing is a little redundant. Annabelle is a Business woman who does what she needs to do in order to provide the best free poker in SA. The fact that she posts on the Forum at all (same goes for Staff) is a bonus as it is because the Forum is run by the players for the players.

Thanks to Dave and the NPL staff we do use it to communicate with the players, but one thing you have to remember guys is when I'm up at 5:00 AM posting to you guys and whether it is serious work related thread or just port jokes it is unpaid time.

Garth was on the Forum because like most of you he was a poker nut and you guy would take any and all poker advice he could offer, and he was happy to, it is the game he loved and like door knocking Jehovah's witness he wanted to share that with you. I am on the Forum for the same reasons.

The Forum is a great tool but we do have our own website for announcements and player related data. As for works in the pipe line, we have our hands full at the moment with to big week ends of poker coming up and 1000's of prize packs to sort out that last thing on my mind is what's next....

Keep your eyes out though, and like in the region of origin thread keep the ideas coming. knowing what you guys want is great!

realy is a horible dvd, bad quality, bad filming even some spelling erors in the headlines

Yeah, i bet those DVD's are kinda geared for absaloute beginners
i.e. pocket aces are good, 27 is bad type stuff??

(i've never seen it, but from what i have heard i don't want to)

apart from the absolute clasic photo on the front cover that makes the bloke look like a porn star who just finished his work, there is very little of interest

it does have most of the basics, robby was very disapointed when he said you shouldnt play 4-6

but that is about it, doeshas some basic odds calculations explained poorly but not much else
