I had to go out and anticipated I'd be home just after the start.

I registered about 4 hours before hand, with full intent to play, and I did.

i agree, i have done this as well - but this is a smaller price to pay than having dead stacks

It's actually kinda funny cos Dave would be late to his own funeral :P
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Maybe I would Pete :)

But still - there are times when I have wanted to play a tourney but know that I'm unavailable for the few hours before hand. I think I should be able to register knowing this.

register 2 hours before hand. then u can go out

any more than about a 5 hour registration is silly.

are you suggesting more than 2 hours but less than 24?

I'm not really suggesting anything other than I make use of early registrations quite often.

Working a day job, plus my own business on the side, plus travelling to and from Gawler to pick up/drop off my daughter means that I quite often can't get to my PC within that two hours and take the opportunity to register early.

I don't care that it's 2 hours, just have to deal with it - just stating that I did like registering early.

i didn't necessarily mind 24 hours in advance - my main gripe was the weekend games, which were for longer than that

maybe even 6 hours

just playing the weeknight ones again, the 24 hour registration isn't necessarily that bad. but on the weekend ones, it was horrible

maybe all registrations can be 24 hours if it makes it easier?

Rego changed to 3 hours now? I can't rego for any of tomorrow's freerolls, yet they're announced.

just have to say well done to garth on the quick response in changing the rego times for the foundation games

last night there were still 198 runners, so only 2 off the cap, but i didn't notice any dead stacks at all, so it was really good. the only dead stack was when we got to 5 handed, i think one guy decided he had to sleep, he said it was starting work at 6 and this was about 1.45am

good work - this is certainly not possible without management frequenting the forums
