250 points, plus 616 points from the weekend would be awesome
:D

If i rembember correctly benny the cunt wernt you and AK Initially opposed to these big 1 off events having points attributed to them, with your thoughts being that this takes away from the people who play a lot of the smaller games and do well ( or something like that)

Interestingly this system has benifited the 2 people that were opposed to it

WTG Krunchie.

Points are generally used for state finals. Regular consistency over x weeks is rewarded by a top 5 placing and entry into y final. Awarding points for a tournament where anything but 1st could be regarded as a failure, seems stupid to me. Ok, so you finished 3rd out of 400, well done. Not begrudging that. When I enter a satelitte, I check the payout scale. I will always be going for that position that awards the prize. Finishing 11th when the FT pays in a 500+ field is the same as finishing 500th. I wouldn't expect anything.

I have no problem with awarding points for the DT LDB through Champs events.

Yes you did Aaron Coz your younger, faster and haven't got any house work to do before you get on the computer, LOL.

Actually, I meant to ask you last nite on Facebook if you think the NPL finals points that benny the cunt accumulated should or shouldn't be added to his overall points on 888PL.

It would make a good poll for the forum to see what the punters think but in the end it'll be a management decission don't you think???

If there are points awarded and they went towards a scoreboard that was for the current season that the Main Event was physically held in, no real dramas.

I am of course ignoring that the Main Event in question was only able to be participated in (for the large part) from the previous seasons efforts.

I am also ignoring that it would effectively kill the scoreboard in question as I can't see it mattering too much how well performed they were in the other 14 qualifying games. Whoever wins the Main Event effectively has it in the bag.

So I guess what I'm really saying is it's feckin STUPID to have it count on any of the current scoreboards.

That's not to say there shouldn't be some kind of recognition for such an achievement, because there definitely should be.

Maybe something like an end of season Honour Roll (which of course couldn't be done until the Main Event has been completed) ?
As a suggestion, could maybe list all those that cashed/placed in the different events over the Championship Weekend and also maybe list all of the individual venue (home and away) winners. Perhaps also the different overall region winners etc.

From that you could perhaps dish out some titles such as "Most likely to not have a life" (ok so that one is a joke... ok ok SEMI joke). I can't think of anything awesome off the top of my head but I'm sure Garth/Tim etc could come up with some spiffy titles.

Also, because the seasons are only <x> weeks long you could collate all of those Honour Rolls from a calendar year and then do one larger Honour Roll.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I didn't mention this because I thought it was obvious, but yes. Giving points to ANY leaderboard for the Champs weekend just gone is stupid. It was for last season.

This is what benny the cunt and I have a problem with.

what i ask, is what is the difference between an online satellite and a live one-off champ event?

nothing

(and yes, my win shouldn't be counting for points as it was last season, but i was just trying to make a point)
