does the dream team points scoring need to be changed
I think my idea of having a dream team winner from each state is a better idea

I agree it's a great idea benny the cunt.... but
Currently there are 20 placings paid out for the Dreamteam so how would you determine the 20 positions?

Ralph B- Home 91st + Qld 1st = 92 (16th)
Ashleigh R- Home 5th + Qld 26th = 31 (6th)
Sabine R- Home 3rd + Qld 35th = 38 (9th)
Justine T- Home 74th + Qld 15th = 89 (15th)
Gary C- Home 29th + Vic 2nd = 31 (6th)
Pera T- Home 283rd + Qld 9th = 292 (20th)
Jason R- Home 19th + Vic 10th = 29 (4th)
Aldo R- Home 4th + SA 7th = 11 (1st)
Peter K- Home 2nd + SA 17th = 19 (2nd)
Will P- Home 28th + Vic 9th = 37 (8th)
David L- Home 6th + SA 18th = 24 (3rd)
Alan D- Home 64th + Qld 46th = 110 (18th)
Phillip H- Home 24th + Vic 16th = 40 (10th)
Andrew D- Home 16th + SA 13th = 29 (4th)
Paul F- Home 89th + Vic 6th = 95 (17th)
John M- Home 78th + Qld 52nd = 130 (19th)
Peter M- Home 14th + SA 36th = 50 (11th)
Kris M- Home 11th + SA 48th = 59 (13th)
Peter K- Home 33rd + SA 24th = 57 (12th)
Scott M- Home 10th + SA 52nd = 62 (14th)
The first thing that is noticable is that the (revised) top ten or so are all paople I have seen playing regularly in both home and away events all season.
I believe this makes it fairer to all.
Thoughts?

Re: does the dream team points scoring need to be changed
The drama with doing a complete total average is that you will have people discontinue playing so that their average doesn't drop and I doubt that's a good thing for 888pl.

good point
5 from each state = 20
Maybe they can play a tourney to determine overall placings?

Yep, total average is a bad idea, this was proven in the first season of full house group poker in sa back in 07

Re: does the dream team points scoring need to be changed
even adding your placings from each leaderboard will have problems.
It is easier to make the top 10 in Tasmania, then the top ten in queensland. This system would disadvantage Qld players by rewarding a tassie player who beats 20% of players and finishes in the top 10 in their state.

lol I like wabbit's
I go from 16th to 1st
To be honest the best way to deal with this ....take away the cash, you wont lose players, I know its a generous payout from FHG but if there wasn't that much money there you think this discussion would be happening?

Re: does the dream team points scoring need to be changed
The bottomline is the dream team is not on the radar of a majority of players, I would suggest that perhaps, <10% of registered players actually strive for the dream team. So it's not realy revellent.
As for the banana benders good luck to them, it was only a short while back in a previous name, SA was the center of the poker universe, it then centered on Vic and now it's Qld, after a few seasons the numbers will start to wain up there and ten things will level out.
Only a few seasons back I was playing 3 to 4 nights a week and a couple of nights on line, this went to a couple of time a week live and 5 or 6 on line, now its 1 sat night a week and play murrins most week nights just for a giggle, so the real question is how can 888pl re-invent itself and attract those lost players and or encourage players like me to play more live venues.
