You're a Bunch of Factors

Not sure if it has ever been discussed, but I am curious to find out other players views on this...

In many country venues, and I am sure some metro ones, there are a number of CFS, SES or Ambulance members. If these guys/girls get called out in the middle of the evening what should happen??

Sometimes with false alarms etc the players could return within 5 minutes or so... should they be removed from the game straight away or allow the TD to post blinds etc???

Would love to hear other players views/thoughts/ideas on the subject.

Whilst nobody would argue with *why* you'd have to get up and leave....I'd say your chances of being re-admitted would (and should be) zero.

Maybe post blinds for 1 full blind level or something. It would be up to the TD I guess.

I'm sure Garth would have a view on this.

Funnily enough this type of thing happens quite a bit. Not the emergency services type call, but people leaving the table mid game.

The way that I've seen it happen at the NPL is that the player who has stood up is allowed one full cycle (the player sitting out still posting blinds) around the table and once the button returns back to the position that it was in when the person left, the TD is often informed and then scoops up and removes their chips from play. Unfortunately with pub poker, it's hard to just blind a stack out as you would in a normal game if this were to happen. In such a circumstance, 5 or 10 minutes would still normally leave said players time to get back to their seat.
