Can you guys update the $2 8.30 leaderboards?

Get your technical types to have it update automatically. In this day and age it should take them all of about 5 minutes.

Standard "they have one guy working the leaderboards atm and until they get a better system in place it will be a slow process" response goes here.

Thanks for your post Glenn.

If it was that easy it would have been done by now. Automatic generation of online results will not occur until next year when the application has gone through extensive testing.

In this day and age any data transfer protocols from an online gaming company to a third party partner is anything but a 5 minute job.

In the meantime the process is the following:

1.) We receive daily soft copy tournament reports from 888. These come in one very large excel spreadsheet with 7 days of history of all tournaments included in them.

2.) This report is then broken down by cutting and pasting each individual tournament to it's own spreadsheet and then saved to a shared folder located on our server.

3.) Each spreadsheet is tagged and re coded with the applicable tournament ID for our (888PL) systems.

4.) Each spreadsheet is the uploaded individually to our database by matching 888 tournament ID with 888PL's tournament ID, this involves a lot of manual checking to ensure that we are not uploading the incorrect results to the wrong day or event.

5.) It should be noted that if we wish to browse tournaments in our system the games are listed by dates and not titles, so we have to crawl through over 30 events per date to find the correct tournament.

I am sure you care very little for the above explanation or procedures but I thought everyone should have their ignorance on this matter abolished and perhaps Brett might be cut a little bit of slack on this matter.

The uploading of online results is nowhere near as easy as a regular in venue event, at the moment.

Please read my sig.

Please and thank you are two easy words. I get one night off a week, i spend three days doing online stuff. Plus i would like a social life, go out and do some stuff for me. Catch up with friends. Hell even add poker to the mix. I am suprised i can get any sleep at all.

As for your request, which day as well? There are 5 $2.20 Tournaments during the week. There are 5 different leaderboards. Not helping your cause with a broad generalisation.

Gmatical is one of the nicest, most polite guys you'll ever meet - he was just being brief. After all we Victorians are very busy having TWO teams in the grand final :) :P

Good to hear you are on the case and it will be better in 2010.

Is there any chance (while the techs are tweaking your software systems etc) you could program the 888pl online river cards to be less revolting?
haha

p.p.s. The only good things SA footy players do occur at the ramsgate hotel
