Hi,

I have been playing on 888 for about two months now, and in this time i have come across two trojan horses associated with the software when i scan my PC with CA Anti-spyware. When i quarantine the trojan i am then unable to open the 888 software and have been forced to uninstall and reinstall the software. However, this issue continues to occure. From what i know about internet security Trojans are not a good thing, so what can i do to continue to enjoy 888 Poker, but be confident that my PC is not being compromised!

hi cane

as far as i know, teh 888 software uses a tracking cookie that basically says that you are allowed to play the 888pl restricted games. these are sometimes picked up as spyware because they can be used to track which sites you visit and then target you for spam/advertising etc etc.

i too had this issue for a while with trend picking it up.

my advice is that there probably isn't an actual trojan, but it is the tracking cookie that is being picked up. in your spyware program, you can set it to ignore certain programs. doing this for 888 should fix the problem.

There aren't any trojans or virii in the software unless you downloaded it from an unreliable source.

The tracking cookies will appear as things in the AV software.

Well considering i downloaded the software directly from the 888 poker league website that is comforting to know.
