Is it too late for G/F away games 2 qualify . I.e if you have a seat but not played 10 away games last season ?

As long as you play 10 away games between Last GF and this GF you will complete the qualification Criteria for the GF.

Hi ,

Yes i was aware of this being for the GF , my concern was with the semi's ...

As we went by this on the 888PL website : ( LINKY )

Qualification:
Finish on the top 5 on the scoreboard at the end of the season from each event held (Home and Away) or the top 50 on the state scoreboard to win a seat into the SA Semi Finals.
Some venues may have two events running, Monday and Wednesday for example. In this instance both the top 5 from Monday night and the top 5 from Wednesday night will qualify into the Semi Final.

Where it doesn't say anything about the 10 away games to qualify !

But searching the forum for the details we found this !

To clarify:

To qualify for ANY of the finals (Semi or Grand), a player must participate in 10 AWAY games to qualify.

There is no condition relating to amount of home games qualified for.

This is a condition of all entries into the finals where we give away the predominant amount of funds/prizes.

I hope that brings a bit of clarity to this issue.

Any way , going by Garths post Nisha cant play the semis , even tho she got her 10 games up for the GF now !

I should of just rego'd Nisha every time i went to a venue , so she would have made the semi's !

my understanding was that it was 10 games for grand final only, not for the semis


thats pretty unfair if you have a venue somewhere that only lasts 3 weeks, because it started halfway through the season

I can understand why it would be for the semis where the league contributes the prize pool but for the GF where most people are providing buy-ins one way or another there should be no qualification criteria. Will Shane Warne and Fenech be required to play 10 away games?

There is still time for me to get in 10 away games before the GF, but I didn't think there was any requirement. I guess I can take it as confirmed you need 10 away games for GF then.

Yeh , we pretty disappointed too , as she made the effort to get into one of the top 5's online , knowing she couldn't possibly qualify in a venue !

Even tho we knew we could get her 10 for the GF up in the school holidays
