So during my 34th check of the B&G leaderboard for the week, I noticed something different. Instead of being ordered by total points, as has been the case all season, its now ordered by a players average. Is this the "15 best games" system coming into affect early?
The B&G regional leaderboard is different...

The state and regional leader boards are supposed to be ranked by player averages, and the "best 15 games" average kicks in as soon as you play more than 15 games.

Then why was it ranked by total points all season?

We'd all played 15 games a long time ago.

Slow implementation of the changes to the leaderboards.

One IT guy, 5 states, way too many different requests. All on him.
The poor bloke.

Re: The B&G regional leaderboard is different...
I can't answer that one mate, Garth will have the answers to that. To be honest, I don't look at the B & G leader board, so I don't know how it was structured before today. But The State leader board has always been ranked by player average. If the leader boards were ranked by points, there would be no reason to employ a best 15 game average, as the average would be a meaningless stat (much like on a venue leader board).
Considering certain venues are still waiting for separate leader boards to be created for their early and late games, it wouldn't surprise me if the B & G leader board structure has only now been amended.

To be honest, I didn't expect you to, I didn't mean for it to look like I was throwing all my questions at you.

That seems to be the case. If it was always going to change when players had played 15 games, then we've got nothing to worry about. Like Brett said, probably a slow implementation.

Re: The B&G regional leaderboard is different...
The B/G leaderboard is supposed to run on the same theory as the state leaderboard, best 15 games average. As Brett mentioned we have been witing for IT to update it. I have been explaining this system in my speil or shortly afterwards, have people not been listening? that wouldnt happen would it?
Ok here it is again to qualify for B/G regional final:
The top 150 in the region working on 15 best games average will qualify. Players must have played a minimum of 15 games in the region to be eligible. That is why currently the leaderboard only has 32 players on it, as more players reach their 15 games it will increase.
The good news now is i can bring region leaderboard to venues as well as venue leader board as it correct.
If any one has not seen the payout structure for the region ill post it again.
