For those of you that have school age kiddies that might be interested in science or engineering, this is a pretty excellent website that shows some good examples of what engineers can do and what sort of stuff they work on. it is also an interesting read for anyone interested in this area of any age.

for those that want to see something really cool, click on the barra sonobuoy page and have a look at the video of a submarine torpedoing a HMAS torrens when it was decomissioned.
