moose wrote:LCD is alot better over all the problems that they have wit sports are not that bad anymore if u put them next to each other you can c they are much the same. It also depends on how much you wanna spend and what size you want. Let me know when you wanna go looking for one i have a few people we can go see.
I agree with you Moose. My eldest son recently bought a 52 or 54 inch LCD 170 degee of viewing angle w/built in HD. Very clear speed blurr is not there like the earlier models had. My younger son has a 42inch plasma and it's a little cheaper but no HD built in.
Me, well I'm using up all the old ones as the s h i t themselves

Re: Plasma Vs LCD
In really simple terms it goes like this (left to right = best to worst)..
highly expensive plasma > LCD > cheap plasma.
I cannot stress enough that you should do a LOT of research.
If you plan to use it for watching sport regularly (or even just a lot) then you don't want any hint of crap picture when there's fast motion or you'll go absolutely ape.
If you seriously care about picture quality then you can't go past a top of the range(ish) Pioneer plasma. Not cheap though! Full HD, 100 Hz models go for $10k+

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: Plasma Vs LCD
Just a simple FYI.
Always try and work out how big it is going to be in one room.
Went and bought a 32 inch Sony LCD (KDL32d3100) In case anyone wants to check specs.
But yeah possibly a little too big for the room i am putting it in. My bedroom.
.
All in all. Only using it to watch DVDs and Downloads. So not too shabby. Might get to watch TV on it later.
