I told my boss to get stuffed and I'm starting a new job on Monday. I'm ridiculously excited about what is really an unexciting job but it gets me out of the industry I've been 'stuck' in for the last 11 years... so much for a stop-gap!
I even managed to receive a pay-rise before I've even started! woohoo!

School, work, poker, life, let's hear it.
I bought a new DVD player, Rounders and Futurama: Benders Big Score today. My DVD player has been stuffed for a while now, and I spotted this one for $44 at Big W, thought why not. Total impulse buy.
Kinda sucky though, I also bought a DVD as a birthday gift, but when I got home I noticed the check-out chick didn't unlock it, using the magnetic thing. So I've got to go back there and get them to unlock it. Sigh.
Rounders was cheap and it caught my eyeIt better be as good as everyone says it is.
hmmm Rounders ... I fell a sleep to that movie ...
BUT you never know you might like it

Re: What's New With You?
Well, I actually just finished watching Rounders xtal.
BEST POKER MOVIE ON THE GODDAM PLANET.
Ahem.
But really, it was great. And as a pretty big movie buff, it wasn't bad for a movie, either. Nice plot development, great writing... ok, you had to suspend disbelief a bit, but all in all, that was great. Edward Norton played his character really well. Seriously, I am struggling to find any major flaws.
9/10.
What's new with me? Oh, I've decided I'm going to win the Gawler/Barossa region this season, that's all

Re: What's New With You?
Driving home, I stopped at an intersection. Suddenly, the man in the car behind me gets out and walks up to the car. I didn't know what to think, until he knocked on the window and proceeded to tell me he just saw a kitten run up onto my back wheel. So I stop the car and go back there, and there's this cute little black and brown kitten looking at me. I pull him out while he scratched and clawed, and the guy says maybe just put him on the sidewalk, but I put him in the car and took him home.
Unfortunantly, he got himself/herself stuck between my passengers side seat and the console. We didn't want to move the seat because it's head was buried underneath the seat, so we waited for a hour or two until Scott came over and tried to get him out.
We rang the RSPCA but they said they couldn't do anything about it, so we rang the RAA. We knew there was a friend of the family who lived across the road who was an RAA man, and he ended up coming, pushing the seat back carefully and pulling the kitten out.
Now it's in my room hiding from everyone in a dark corner.
