If you added 'and made sure it was using the correct dictionary' I might even agree with you :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I know it's not Tuesday and I don't care, i'm having a whinge (whingey wednesday?). Phone related stuff again, but that happens when you spend all day answering phones (although I swear I b*tch and moan about other stuff :D ). When I ring a business, I say my name and who I need to speak to and what it's regarding. I figure it's a time saver and less likely to frustrate people. So why do I constantly get people ringing up like this: Caller - "Is X there?" Me - "Yes, can I tell X who is calling?" Now, just to clarify, the people I work with want to know who is calling and what it is regarding given that they manage more than 15 clients each, so it makes my job a lot easier if I don't have to feel like i'm interrogating the caller or pulling teeth. I don't want to know if you're Y from Whyalla, that tells me nothing! Are you a client, a friend, a contractor? C'mon people - give me some more info...and don't get shirty with me about it.

Exactly Laura!

I get messages all the time, regarding problems with hospital admissions. You ring from a facility and leave a message, tell me what it is about. If it is a simple question, I'm likely to call back quicker. If you just leave your name, then I'm gonna wonder if it's a hard question, so I'll wait til the next day, when I'm fresh(er).
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

I love my job!!!

I got to suspend 4 people yesterday, and have some real fiery phone conversations.

Just adds to the excitement of the role which is Operations Manager or as some of you know it; KoFE.

Have to agree with Laura,

Seriously! You call that a tanty, I mean common, I have seen butterflies with more anger than that! Where is the stamping of feet, blowing of hot air, or more importantly any form of grumpiness.

All we heard in that was joy and happiness.
Unacceptable, so so so very unacceptable.

No.. very disappointed in your so called Tanty Garth
Very very disappointed.

What's a f*ckoff sandwhich?

I was, shall I say, accosted by a religous zealot today. Walking to the train station after work and as I'm walking past this front yard where a group of people are talking, one of them (a younger bloke, maybe 18) stops me.

"Excuse me Sir, do you believe in Jesus?"
"Nah man, sorry."
"Maybe you should let Jesus into your life"
"No."

I start to walk off. He follows me down the path.

"Jesus is a really special person to me, he changed my life..."
"Ok, that's great, not interested..."
"Could I just give you a pamphlet sir, maybe you could come to our..."
"Ok, f*ck off."

Not a tanty, I actually found it amusing. Just wanted to share.

Des: That was today's shift. Might not make the Kingy tomorrow, I'm working till 7.30. See how I go.
