23 year old son buys a iphone3 within 3 months it dies its replaced under warrenty, replacement also has a heart attack, son upgrades to iphone 4. The old man buys buys a nokia N97 Symbian S60v5 has no problems.

I would much rather create and invoice, tag it and send it to someone's email in 60 seconds, then cart around a laptop, and wait twice that time just to turn it on.

I can remote control my server via my phone, add an email address, reboot services and fix this forum - all from my phone. I can be anywhere, anytime and do that - as opposed to having to cart a laptop with me to do so.

I don't think you understand the value/concept of a smartphone (in general)

i have a netbook and a smart phone and use them for different things. i need both. im not sure i need an ipad though, but i still want one. apple marketing is pretty good like that.

From my smartphone, I wanted something that plays music, radio, and movie files, plus can play some games. A camera was not high on the list.

I used to use my NDS for all but the music/radio, and having two devices on the bus was just annoying.

The iPhone does all this for me, and I can make calls with it too. Other phones might do this too, but they never marketed well enough for mr to cotton onto, and that's the issue.

Given I make about 10 calls a month, the extras outweigh anything about calls.

agree with this, i use the ipod in my iphone, as well as forum/facebook/news/games apps much more than i actually use the phone.

I get phone upgrades with the plan I am on and I have two or three new phones sitting at home collecting dust because I am so used to the N6120. I love it. Simple, easy interface, small & durable.

Android will do particularly well in coming years. When Google throws money at something it usually does well...
