So I just got interviewed by Channel 9...

Last night at 12am someone burnt down a house on my street. Quiet little caul-de-sac with 7 houses. It was being renovated so no-one was in the house. Definately delibrate. They were about to torch a car when they got spooked and ran off. Almost certainly kids on school holidays. Happened last week as well in a different part of Hallett Cove.

Funny thing is, I was awake til 5 am and had no idea this was happening 30 metres from my bedroom. I was playing online with headphones for several hours so I didn't hear a damn thing when it was all happening.

Camera crews rocked up at 8 am. My baby sister was interviewed by Channels 2,7,9 & 10. She mentioned that it might have happened around the time I got home from work so Channel 9 came back around 11 to interview me. I doubt I'll be on as I really couldn't add much to the story apart from the fact I saw a teenage couple walking on my street when I got home at 11:15. That and I had just crawled out of bed so I wasn't exactly photogenic at the time...

You'd be surpised how they turn the nothing you said into a story.

Happened to me as well when there was a home invasion in the mansion next to my unit. They shoved a camera in my face at 0730 after I said I was aware of what happened, even after I said I didn't want to be on TV. Glad I only made Ch10 news

heh, reminds me of that guy in World War Z who only finds out about extent of the world wide zombie invasion after discovering his internet is cut and is forced to emerge from his bedroom.
