iPhone Issues

I guess this could apply to iPods as well.
I am having a problem with my iPhone in regards to Music.
More specifically audio books.
I have put a number of audio books on my phone and listen to them in the car. But when i sync my phone, every now and then I lose content. Sometimes I'll lose half of a book more.
Currently I am 14 chapters into a 46 chapter Stephen King audio book. But last night I synced my phone to update the fancy new poker pod cats I got (thanks benny the cunt) and bingo, sure enough I now only have 13 out of the 46 chapters of my Stephen King book. I also am now missing 5 other books I haven't listened to yet.
They still appear in iTunes, but when I sync again they are still not on the phone. I have to delete them from iTunes, sync, then reinstall them to iTunes, turn them into audio books and sync again.
this just gets monotonous. And I have had to do it from day dot.
Anyone have any ideas or similar problems?
:D

nup but your problem lies with the author not the iphone. "stephen king books usually lack an ending"

not sure mate, never had any audio books on my iphone.

do they manually get added, or is it an automatic thing?

i.e my podcasts are set to that the most recent 3 podcasts stay on my phone, the rest get deleted.

When you go into iTunes benny the cunt, and you add your audio book, it goes straight into the music folder.
If you highlight all components of the book and right click and click Get Info. From there you can add the cover etc. On one of the tabs on the right you can select a drop down box that allows you to place it in the Audio Book folder or any other folder for that matter.
Then iTunes does it's "magic" and wooshes it off to the Audiobook folder.
So that way it doesn't get mixed up in the music folder. 1 tip here before we move on, in the tab that lets you select it as an audiobook, there is another few drop down box options. One allows you to return to where you left the book. So if you go back to playing music when you return to the book it starts where you left it. Great little tool, the other one says skip when shuffling. This does not work.
if you have your songs set to shuffle, when you go to listen to your book it will also shuffle your book! So make sure even if you tick skip when shuffling, that you turn the shuffle off on your songs. Saves alot of confusion.
So to answer your question benny the cunt, I don't know!
And since I'm new to Pod casts and they are rapidly becoming my new fav toy, I'll have to keep you posted!
