For Trishan

Some of you may have seen the thread that Trishan put up earlier, and then my mod job on it.

To Trishan I apologise for my behaviour and the connections that were made, and perhaps I could have got my point across differently.

But let me be very blunt - I expect a certain modicum of respect as the "boss" of 888PL and as such I do not expect my name to be used in any format of humor, disrespect or grandstanding/attention grabbing headings.

You have stepped over this line once too often and I needed to make my point very clear, if I am joking with you then it's fine to joke around, if you wish to use me (or my name) in an attempt at light hearted humor or for attention grabbing then the very polite thing would do is to contact me via PM or email asking if it is ok. (no more than that).

I have no idea what your issue is with me and why you continue to throw disrespectful quips my way but today was almost the last straw, you were about to receive a phone call from me and an "on you way" type of message.

Just so you, and everyone else knows, I am highly religious (i don't believe in churches) but I strongly believe in faith, God and the concept of Good and Evil, I pray every night. I know this might be out of character and something unexpected but my beliefs differ to those of the church.

But in the end the concept of good and evil is far evolved in concept within me and is the cornerstone of my belief systems, whether good intentioned or note, associating me (or my name) with the concept of evil is abhorent and the most insulting and disrespectful thing you can do to me.

In the end, I was just as bad as you and made associations that were probably just as disgusting for you. I acted in haste and anger and make this public apology to you knowing full well I was in the wrong as my intentions were not as innocent as yours.

I don't think you can expect any more or less respect then anyone else on a public forum Garth.

I read the post in question, I think Trishan just got a bit excited about maths and put your name into his example as more of a homage not as an insult.

Humour is a funny thing (pardon the pun) as one often does not know where people draw the line between funny and offensive - I tread this line abit myself.

Fair to say your posts probably cancel each other out tho.

Perhaps you should pick up the phone, not to fight or argue, but to clear the air as men should do.

Anyway - love both your work on the forum, hope y'all clear the air.

Peace Out!

I can expect as much as I give, and I highly respect Trishan and his yearning to become a better player and to help others become better as well.

If it was truly a homage why the negative connotations? Why not "Is Garth a Genius?" Or does :Garth have the Good Poker Player gene?" or just simply "Garth and his genetics?" there was no requirement to add the negative connotations if his was trying to laud me?

I thought as much as well, from my perspective, but in this case I acted out of spite and anger where I am sure Trishan acted out of some naive ignorance, but it does remain that using someones name without their consent (no matter what context) is a huge breach of etiquette.

I have said my peace and apologised and I think it is only fair to say that only one other person is expected to respond to the OP.
