CSR sale approved

G'day , The Australian Foreign Investment Review Board has approved the sale of a Great Australian company " CSR " a Singapore based company .
This follows the sale of Golden Circle to USA , P&N to Japan

Lets hope the ACCC stops this madness

Quick question, should they stop Australian companies buying foreign companies? :?

Then the ACC obviously won't stop an overseas sale.

Maybe the FIRB might, but if the ACC has allowed one company to obtain 75% of the market, they aint going to start caring now.

haha - good point. I'm not used to seeing it in full :P

What is the ACCC going to do about it?

Has too also be past by them , The 3rd stage of selling a big Aussie company .

even if it doesn't further consolidate the market? I was always under the impressing they upheld the trade practices act. I have been wrong before (or not read a post properly :D)
