i have adam max in gawler
speeds are great, i get up to 1.3MB a sec, but mostly in the 500-900kB/s range.
i have had a few issues with dropouts though, a couple of months ago i had a crap load of dropouts but it got fixed pretty quickly and its not too much of an issue though.
if you are 100% relying on the voip phone, i would probably not go with this because sometimes if there is a dropout the voice gateway doesn't come back online without a power cycle. if someone leaves a voicemail it sends the voicemail to you via email which is nice, but personally i use my mobile mostly.
quality of the voip phone is great most of the time (once again had a few issues but nothing major)
but in general i like it a lot and the speeds are awesome, and 100 gig for $60 a month is pretty awesome value

cheers benny the cunt
the phone isnt the important factor for me, as i already got telstra to connect a phone to my place before i worked out you couldnt get a decent internet connection.

but i will use my mobile more anyways. Thats good to hear that the speeds are awesome for this area

yeah speeds are great.
dropouts can be a problem though, just because a wireless link is obviously less reliable than a hard wired one, but 99% of the time it comes back up within 30 seconds. the closer you are to your base station, the better it will be i would think

it does get annoying sometimes, my net dropped out for about 2 mins on sat night, about 15 mins after i shipped the ticket for the AM, so i would have been pretty annoyed if it dropped out during heads up
but its not that much of an issue to me as it comes back really quickly.
if you are playing COD and you get booted every time it does this it would get annoying though

Yeah, this. Not an issue when I'm on the net or whatevs, but extremely annoying when playing COD as you are booted each time. I should call up Adam really, see if they can fix it.

Redundancy?
If you go deep-ish in a tourney, you should setup your Wind and tether your iPhone or something (are you with Optus?). That way IF your wireless drops out, you can quickly load 888 on the laptop (or have it ready to go) and there it is.

i am with vodafone, i dont think they do iphone tethering.
but if they do i will look into it, but you are right, i should have a backup, especially if i start playing more low-mid stakes tourneys instead of the micros

Jailbreak it - then you don't need to worry about the provider!
