April Fools 2011

So today is the first of April and April Fools Day one of my favourite days of the year. Up there with Christmas even.

I prepared a letter for the boss last night which said he violated the spam act and was being fined $20,000. He is fairly tight wit money and hates paying for stuff that is unnecessary. We put it in the company mailbox early today and when he read he was so shocked. He came to me after reading it and his hands were shaking furiously. I have never seen him so frazzeled before! We were gonna let it run for the day but he started looking up numbers for lawyers so we had to pull the plug before it got out of hand. Here's the letter:

I also just got another coworker. I loaded up the blue screen of death as a screensaver and disconnected his mouse and keyboard while he was at lunch. He came up and started furiously tapping at his keyboard and mouse LOL

Did you guys do anything or is it just me with too much time on my hands lol

Yeh I asked some of the senior guys whether he would explode or get angry and they said it should be right.

The only thing I'd say is it needs some hint it is a joke. Love the commitment, but you gotta give 'em a clue or something that is a little out of the ordinary.

Lovely work tho!

ABC local radio had an interview with Anne Moran this morning about a proposal from the state govt to change up the state coat of arms - placing a guinea pig on there. Came out with all the "change for change sake", nothing in it for Adelaide rate payers and other associated "Adelaide is a small insulated city" stuff. Was good to have them play along.

Thought the misspelling of Licensed was a good enough tip... :P

Not a bad effort for 30 mins lol The signature also looks nothing like "Chris Chapman". I also didn't put a date on it or a return address.

I thought this was pretty good.

Had 12 separate text messages through the day.

Highlights:

Friend 1: Kind of a bit upset and confused that this is the first I've heard of a serious Melb move, especially if its been in the works for a while.

Friend 2, guy: There are actually tears in my eyes (if this reaches FB there will be tears in your eyes from me repeatedly punching you in the head. Which you should remind me to do anyway, cos you're moving).

Friend 3: Wow dude, Melbourne? I'm going to miss you so much :(

Friend 4: What! Definitely don't like that idea! :( :( :(

Oh and I got Bacon too ;D

Didn't believe it anyway but Scot's reply would have gave it away if I had any doubt.

Great Work Trishan and Aaron. I got to work early and covered my old boss's ( the nice one) workstation with postit notes from top to bottom, I sticky taped all of his pens, pencils etc together individually and then blue tacked everything in place. I disconnected his mouse and keyboard and finished it all with a piece of paper with a smiley face stuck to his monitor. He blamed another co worked and was not impressed they then went on to blame someone else leaving me feeling guilty.

I then sent the following picture with the message " I think it was Maz she is looking very shifty today"

(Maz is a lovely lady I work with who I have introduced to the wonderful world of poker which she is loving. She would never do anything like this)

It took him another 3 hours to click all the while I was feeling guilty so I do not think being a prankster is for me. I should not feel too guilty as he used to love pulling pranks on me when we worked together

No one picked up on his first reply, then his total turn around a few comments later.

Astounded me.
