but yeah, allowing some talk between two players when they are both involved in a hand is good

so next time, i will say - "i reckon i have u done cold, so put your chips in".

Where I draw a firm line is when people not in the hand start offering their opinion.

there are some people that like chirping up "pot odds, u gotta call"
that really sh*ts me, probably more than anything else in poker - luckily there was noone on this table saying that, or else i would have raged

benny the cunt, personally i think ANY talk (between live players) is fine... You don't have to answer questions asked, or answer them truthfully! And whats wrong with someone actually telling what they really have? I wouldnt beleive them anyway, so.... The main problem is, table talk is an art that most ppl suck at and give away more than they gain.

It seems to be coming that allin is being more suspected as a bluff than a decent sized bet to.

@Nathan: I don't know where u experience NPL, but Ive found very few players anywhere near the Level 2 you describe, even in some (non-NPL) buyin games!
And its really good to see poker related articles that arent all about poker hands, but the stuff 'around' becoming a good player, that alot of ppl never consider. bravo

Its funny. You can lie about the contents of your hand, but if you tell the truth, your hand is mucked.

The only problem with this move (hindsight of course) in my opinion was.....

you had control of the hand, you knew he was scared with the Ace on the board anyway, why not see the river cheap or free and push a pot size bet then. You could have always been lucky and hit your 10, then put out a value bet, either way by the sounds of it that player would have been thinking "this is BS f******* donkey crack my KK with a position bet A rag, that lucky prick but I might get lucky and hit a K on the river" or "is he slow playing trip (JJ etc). Let him see the river cheap or free (you benefit more than him) then re-assess the hand/player, throw out a pot size bet if appropriate, I find doing that in many instances is saying "call me, call me, I have the nuuuuutz, you lose, tell your story walking" rather than an all in that can come accross as "oh for f*ck, sh*t, christ, please fold and go away!". He will more than likely just flat call or if you're lucky fold and you have chips left or reraise all in out of frustration, you fold and you still have a few chips left.

But hey easily said with the information on a platter.

Like I said, who'd beleive you if you (truthfully) claimed to have AA? or any winning hand...
