Not everyone has the time, nor the motivation, to post here. We can't force them to be active. But if they wish to say something, at least they have the oppourtunity to do it here.

What's the point of someone registering just for the sake of the team event and never coming back to it. A forum is for people to chat on post interesting things (stories, pics, etc) etc.
Is it just to say that "Our" forum has XXXX members but only 5% of these frequent it regularly?
No - some people might come here once, and ever again. But some might see the forum as a new way to find out information and have a social chat with other players. If so - it's done it's job.
I have no intention of "padding" numbers at all on the forum.
(and by the way, at least get a more accurate percentage please!)

Remember - it's a FREE tournament in a FREE competition with NO QUALIFICATION at all.
Is signing up all that bad?

It's what you call marketing. If you get 100 people to try something they generally never would you will get a success rate of 5% that they will do it again. If we ask 500 players to register and at least have a look at the topics we may garner another 50 to 100 members who do contribute regularly.

This is true. I am one who has access at home and uni etc and so it is very easy for me to register and post on this forum. But I probably wouldn't have known about this forum or signed up if it wasn't for the Dakota Bounty game at Pooraka yesterday.
I have now contributed by making several posts on the forum, and also found quite a bit of useful information on here
Although I had trouble finding this site at first, I think there may be a broken link on http://www.npl.com.au ?
cheers

Re: TEAMS EVENT, no more teams please.
We have enough room for one more complete team and approx. seven independant players who are looking for a team. Be quick, first in best dressed.
