Must confess, I'm pretty excited about Sunday.

Some awesome prizes up for grabs! Whoever makes it that far will certainly have earned it.

wow, what a day.

Achieved my aim of making it past the first break. Had to pull out my entire repetoire of moves just to survive tho, was very nearly gone and clawed my way back ever so slowly to be just above even just before the break.

Ended up going out in the high 80's which was frustrating at first but then they decided to just change it and make the cutoff 60 so felt a little better :)

I think I noticed Des was still in when the 1st flight ended so hopefully he can go on to something good (least there's a good prize for 4th this time mate!)

Was a very well run event today and I actually feel a little special for having qualified to start with :) Top stuff from the organisers!

I did make it to the top 60. However with a stack of only 6000, with blinds at 4000/2000 I decided to not go back.

I'm still really annoyed after trying my butt off all day yesterday to finish 4th and not even get offered a deck of cards. I tried to change my flight because I would have likes some sleep, but I wasn't allowed to.

So due to the fact that I wouldn't last more than a few hands I chose not to go back. This weekend has cost me a lot of money with driving, food etc.... and coming out of it with not much to show just leaves me a little bitter.

Considering giving up poker at the moment. I'll let u guys know.

Feel for our regional guys. Some traveled from as far as Roxby Downs and Whyalla to walk away with nothing.
We know the flight process isn't the ideal way to run a state final, we more than likely will have to run a flight system again for this season's final but we are looking at a North East venue. We will have that locked in by the end of this week hopefully. Again if players wish to have any input then all they need to do is post here or send me an email at garth@npl.com.au
