I tried my best

This place has become "Whingers Paradise"

Theres no friendly banter, just a whole lot of complaining, and im sick of trying to explain to people why things are the way they are.

I'm just over it, so I'm quitting for forums. This place was for people to come here and have a good time and maybe improve their game a little.

Now every day theres an argument about something.

Well I'm doing the mature thing and just walking away. No more arguments or heated discussions for me.

I just want to enjoy my poker.

Enjoy

Chow for now Des. Much appreciation for all the effort that you've put in to the forum since it's creation and you'll be greatly missed. I'll bet that we'll see you at one stage or another on the felt and trying to duke it out for the chips. Don't be a stranger and take it easy!

i hope that is wasnt me that caused you to make this decision. as you alluded to, i was probably the straw that broke the camels back, but this was never my intention.

We (read I, ;) ) really do love you Des.

I guess there isn't enough of the good stuff on here. Your best is good enough Des, Australians are generally inclined towards negativity.

If everyone didn't love playing the game, they wouldn't show up. We should all learn a lesson from this. People donate their own personal time to enhance our/your npl poker experience. Who wants to be a punching bag? I don't. No-one does.

Did I say what I want to say? Not too sure, however, sure some of us suffer exceptionally bad suck outs, things aren't run as we would like them to be run, the rules aren't fair.... BUT for the love of the game we continue to show up. Lighten up people and enjoy it for what it is. Those in charge work tirelessly to earn your respect.

End Edict

Shannon

Wow, no offense Des, but learn to deal with criticism mate.

I Admin another forum and every other day it seems I'm dealing with a crisis, from someone that doesn't like our rules, or generally can't post properly (posts the same topic, quadruple posts, abuses fellow members).

You're always going to get detractors.

Saying that, its a shame to see you go. Your help is much appreciated, as Andre said. I've always held you in high regard as the best Moderator here. So friendly.

This had nothing to do with the Heads Up... its just the entire attitude of the majority of posts on this forum in the last 2 weeks.

My friends, the staff and mods here are great... but frankly im just sick of the backstabbing, arguements and snide remarks. Not just on here, but during tournaments.

I really hope things turn around and I may come back, but at this point I just don't want to argue anymore. I love the game, I love most of the people... and I just wanna go back to enjoying it.
