How bout they just drench the track surface before every race- there was more passing going on at Silverstone than in some entire seasons of F1 racing. Rain is a great equaliser- just goes to show how important the traction levels of the cars are.
Good to see the cars moving around more on the racetrack this year with the omission of driving aids. I think losing some of the aerodynamic downforce is the right direction to go in rather than allowing teams to build higher revving engines- hopefully they can reduce mid corner grip enough to make for better racing and more passing so that the better drivers come to the fore (ie. Webber).
