Bacon wrote:so i've not actually heard, or can recall, any songs by The Sleepy Jacksons, but i'm amazed to hear that, at one stage, it was only a different band to End Of Fashion by the lead singer. Ie the 3 other members were the same.

I know people have side projects, but to just have a different lead singer seems a bit odd.

Are you sure this is true bacon? i was a fan of the sleepy jackson, and im pretty sure they had broken up before end of fashion brought there first album out a few years ago. Ill be happy to be proven wrong though. We need troy h in this conversation, hes a bit of a music buff.

The lead singer from sleepy jackson (luke somebody) is now the dude that sings in empire of the sun.

According to wiki, they were concurrent bands.
wiki wrote:In addition to playing solo, Steele recruited drummer Malcolm Clark into The Sleepy Jackson fold and, when some serious touring was required in support of the release, the services of Justin Burford (Guitar) and Rodney Aravena (Bass) were enlisted. In addition to The Sleepy Jackson, Steele's three colleagues were also playing around their hometown with Jonathon Dudman under the name End Of Fashion.

That's my only source.

You just dug yourself a massive hole :D

If you had a free ticket to go eat some poo, would you do go and do it?
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Chris Cornell has one of the best and most unique voices in music, ever. Later in his career, he has suffered because of the strain he's put on his voice all that time, so he isn't as powerful, nor as good. But he is still a quality singer. I wouldn't judge him on that one performance.

Go back and listen to Outshined, or Jesus Christ Pose. Or Limo Wreck.

Edit:I put him just slightly behind Mike Patton, and Maynard.
