I had a look at the first couple of episodes of the IT crowd on the weekend. I think I laughed twice, maybe three times. Everyone seems to be trying too hard to be funny. Still, that's why there are thousands of TV shows to watch - you're not going to like everything that is made 
Flight of the Conchords I do rate. Watched 14 eps so far, and am definitely enjoying it.

I agree.
I found the IT Crowd to be a bit cheap, a lot less of a standard than other British comedies. Funny in places, but a but of "meh".
