the whole villain setup for this season seems really lame at the moment though, hopefully they have something else in store as well

yeah i know, but those scenes didn't really seem to fit with the rest of the show. im sure it will get better

Did I hear somewhere there was to be no main villain this season? More a rolling, "back to basics" killing schedule?

The start has reminded me a bit of the first season - with Dexter's killing going on, and he happens to go to cases that end up being the main crux of the series (his brother).. that's how this has sort of started.

Anyone seen last weekends ep? Watched last night and whilst it had an awesome start and middle, faded and left a very "closed" feeling. Bit like the ending on S5, they're just not hammering suspense anymore

Was a tad predictable IMO. Right about the suspense bit being slightly off. Even in season 5, which wasn't the best, they still had the awesome seen with the shadows behind the plastic sheeting. Hope the last three eps ramp it up a bit. Hard to know how many spoilers to add in this thread
