i liked lucky you, more about the las vegas poker lifestyle
WHAT????
BWAAAHAHAHAHA!!
R u kidding?
INSTABAN
BOO!!!
HISSSS!!
Get him off!!
"Lucky You", and the new movie "Deal" are the same movie, Hollywood BS!
Like anyone would fold winning pocket aces to let someone else win the World Series! Yeah, father vs son, student vs master, heads up for the title of worlds best. HOGWASH
You now what the odds of that happening are?
No, me either, but they'd be HUUUGE!
Rounders tells the story of "real" poker professionals. Grinding out a living, usually off people that get blinded by the pretty lights of "Vegas".
And its not just about NL hold'em.(it is mostly about it)
Although it is the best version of poker IMO, there are many types.
I've been playing poker for 20+ years, and No limit for about 6 years, but if you don't understand "Poker" as such, you'll struggle to truly master No limit.
PLEASE don't tell me you liked the "All-In" movie, that was carp too.
The only good thing in that movie was the use of players statistics to gain an edge over opponents. This happens all the time on the net.
Still, ROUNDERS rules the roost as the best poker movie to date, (behind Maverick of course!)

Re: Rounders
Downloaded and watched this again last night.
Decent movie, but nothing special. Gets lots of things about gambling in general right, but there was something in there that was put wrong, and now I can't for the life of my remember what it was.
Some asertation they made wasn't right..... I'll think of it later i guess.
But yeah, greatest movie ever? not likely!
