You're a Bunch of Factors

Anyone got one?

I just picked one up today, so far love it, bar one minor problem.... ringtones.
I've always been able to add my own ringtones to my old Nokias. I have 2 that I use all the time, the ESPN WSOP tune for my messages and some I made for myself.
But iTunes won't let me use them as ringtone unless I download the tune from iTunes.
It aint good and I aint happy about it one little bit!
Anyone know anyway around that?

Can't you synch ya phone to ya PC and just move the ringtone into Itunes?

Tried it, iTunes is evil and won't let you use it as a ringtone unless it's been officially downloaded from iTunes store.

great and now it's crashed and there doesn't seem to be a way to restart it.

You deserve it for buying an iPhone

Be thankful it didn't blow up in your face like the other ones are doing



I'm sure there's a way to do it, just like you don't have to use iTunes to put songs on your ipod, once you know how.

Does the iPhone require the DRM signatures to be in the ringtone file from iTunes or just the .m4a extension, because if its the latter, there are free conversion utilties around.

Fold pre IMO.

Sold my iPhone 8 days after getting it. Novelty not worth the hassle.
