to my shame, i have never seen a proper poker movie - i want the best move possible to introduce me into this genre.

what one would you recommend that doesnt use all the bad cliches and when everyone hits the royal flush or quad aces?

Go "Rounders". Introduce you to the grind and busto mentality. Not the win big and then your a superstar for life.

I have heard good reports of High Roller - The Stu Ungar Story.
Mainly showing what happens to those that get too involved into a lifestyle.

Books you might be interested in. Moneymaker - The Chris moneymaker story. Good read.
