That's the thing benny the cunt, they may have teams that they like better than other teams but if they don't care who is playing and are just happy to watch a game wtf is wrong with that?
It's certainly better than pretending to be a fan of a certain team, which is what I think you are actually getting at.

i know what you are saying pete, but people that say that either dont follow it closely enough, or they just wanna be associated with the winning team of the time.
real supporters barrack for their team through thick and thin

Re: Fan v Supporter
And I'm pointing out that is exactly what the bloke I mentioned is NOT doing
I did say BOTH Manchester teams, Man City have sucked for aaaaages.
He'd just as happily watch Stoke vs West Brom simply because it happens to be on.
The type of person I believe you are referring to wouldn't dream of it.

AK - you're a clown. That GF was a disgrace the moment Muscat got away with that horrid tackle right in front of the umpire and it went form bad to worse when we had a legitimate goal (that would have changed the context of the game) disallowed.
I'd have been just as filthy after the game as Kossie etc were and I don't blame them in the slightest for having a rant. Referees and the governing body just don't like hearing the truth sometimes.
I'd been getting over United for a few weeks, and the GF reaction was the catalyst. I always thought Ross was a huge tool, and that confirmed it. I never really "loved" or "supported" United as much as I do West Coast, so "leaving" as a supporter was never a huge deal for me. I've never even seen the GF.

Dude, I'm not even there when the team are winning. I could care less - it'd be good for the state etc if they do make it through to that champion league thing they're currently in, but if they don't... I won't be losing any sleep over it.

Worst reaction I have ever seen, with my own eyes, at my first ever soccer game as a spectator, was during the World Police and Fire Games in March 2007.
In the gold medal match, the umpire awarded an extremely dubious free kick to Team B (like, I don't know where he was looking, on the take maybe!!). It was 1 minute from Full Time.
Needless to say that Team B won the match. So what did a bunch of boys in blue, upstanding members of the community do? They took off after the match (note: I believe that Spain was the team that was wronged here) to ATTACK the umpire. All spectators were in shock as security came running from everywhere to protect the umpire from a bunch of POLICE!!! Also, I believe that they weren't to friendly on their change rooms either!!
Gold, pure Gold!! We were in shock, but when we had a chance to take in the situation, it was hilarious!! But, they should have all been arrested in the end, but, the good ol' boys club.
Adelaide had nothing on them
