I can't stand to watch womens sport.
It is boring, loud and weak. The amount of grunting is just horrific and it is the most horrible sound to have to listen to.
HOWEVER... Equestrian, diving, gymnastics and swimming is much more different, then I have to admit, I don't care what sex they are, it is always awesome to watch.

i bet 99% of people would choose the mens game, and this is my point
Flawed argument. You could say the same thing for Williams vs Sharapova two unknown and unranked male players.
ok, what about jelena jankovic or amelie mauresmo.
both of them are very manly looking, so not very attractive, and have been in the top 10.
question. who are
AGNIESZKA RADWANSKA and ANNA CHAKVETADZE
the answer is they are both top 10 ranked tennis players, and you or i have not heard of them because they are not good looking.
would you rather watch them?

Tennis suffers from TV.
Watching a tennis match live, from the side of the court, is SO MUCH DIFFERENT than watching it on TV.
Similar to cricket. You can't get a true appreciation of the speed the ball is traveling out of the bowlers hand, until you see it from side on.
Women's tennis is slower than mens, but it's made to look worse than it really is.

yep dead right david.
tennis is SOOO much better watching it live.
shame that the adelaide international is no more.
i got lleyton hewitts autograph before he was famous!
lleyton hewitt is a great australian, and epitomises the australian fighting spirit, (although he got pumped 1 and 2 by Nadaal last night LOL)
i am not sure if they had it on the tv, but did anyone see hewitt and guccione's doubles game? they won 18-16 in the third set after saving 4 match points including 3 in a row

Just found out my mate was at the match. He lives in Singapore now, so he must have travelled over. He got a photo with Jonas Bjorkman & Evandar Holyfield.

She may not be drop dead gorgeous, but i don't reckon you would call her ugly. If she was playing, i'd watch. Chakvetadze = hottie.
I looked up Radwanska also, but didnt want to post a link to her wallpaper as people may be eating breakfast.

Re: So excited about the Olympics
the reason i posted these names, is that they are both in the top 10 at the moment, but i must confess that i had never heard of them, and i reckon i would follow tennis more than the average sports fan.
but there was only 1 or 2 of the top 50 men that i didnt know

I watch tennis for the skill levels and their personalities. I wouldn't watch a match between Agnie and Anna, no (just as you wouldn't watch a match if Stanislas Wawrinka (10th male) was playing). That is to say, I wouldn't set a time for it - if it came on, and there was some amazing tennis to be had, I'm watching. For example, a few years ago I wouldn't watch any matches that Marcos Baghadatis, Gabriel Monfies or Jo Wilfred Tsonga were in. Now I will.
