What a joke! That so did not hit the bat!
Out of form and then a tool of an umpire fires him!

Well peeps. think I'll head home, get some of the amber fluid in me and actually watch some of the cricket. Odds on us losing 2 more wickets by the time I get home?

You do have to feel a little sorry for modern day umpires though, the armchair umpires (i.e. us) get the assistance of replays with all the different technology which makes it easy in most cases to see whether a guy is out or not, they have to make a decision after seeing the action only once and at full speed when it happens.
Mind you, I haven't seen the replay yet though so I may well call him a fkwit too after seeing it!
Ponting has started pretty slowly though, 15 off 11 balls, geez does punter know there are still two days left after today.

4 runs is just not good enough. Irrespective of the wrongful catch, the lb was plumb. Cya matt

On the other side of the coin, they are professionals and it's inexcusable.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: Australia v South Africa, 1st Test, Perth
the players are profesionals too mate and they can make mistakes
have you ever umpired ?
now i know we are talking paid umpires here and the suposed best of the best but bloody hell
its a tough job and mistakes happen
the only reason we know they do is because of tv coverage,
otherwise we would be blissfully ignorant.
the last thing we realy want is every decison made by computers and tv replays, umpiring has a touch of "random" to it and it swings both ways
