62/38 in what?

Possession was something like 56/44 in favour of queensland, but as you can imagine they had the ball for the last ten or 15 minutes and we just had everyone inside the box.

Great result. They had more shots on goal and one or two near misses, but Eugene was never really tested.

Those stats didn't tell much of the story though. So many of Queenslands shots were outside the box and/or completely crap.

In terms of real chances they only had a few.

We probably should have scored one or two more ourselves.

Wasn't impressed with Farina claiming they were the better side on the night, because they had nothing in the 1st half and we never really looked uncomfortable in the 2nd half.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Yeah that was a bit of a silly call by farina. They really only had two good chances, one was mitch nicols header that went wide on about 80 minutes, and they had a deflection go just wide a few minutes later.

But they had no real golden chances. We could have scored a couple more but we had two guys called offside when they were clearly onside. it was ridiculous. maybe viddy should whinge about the umpires and we might get an offside goal (like melbourne did last week)

what about the easy miss by Nichols i think it was in the 6th minute, that should be a goal 8 times out of 10, pretty much one on one with Galakovic

actually yeah forgot about that one. that was a golden chance, but his poor first touch meant he could only really toe poke it straight to the keeper. but i reckon on the whole we defended really well.

Jonas salley especially was fantastic along with read. we played two holding midfielders and gained massive amounts defensively, but didnt lose much in an attacking sense as both were prepared to make runs forward and both had shots on goal at different stages of the game.

i think we will go with the same team against melbourne, with the possible exception of cassio starting on the left instead of pantelis, but perhaps that swap might be made on the hour instead. I cant wait for revenge. at least we are in the ACL again. that will be a massive drawcard for new players coming to the club, and especially since we are on the lookout for a marquee striker.

Apparatenly tamada, who started up front for japan against australia the other week has been mentioned. that would be awesome, but mr pickard and mr bianco would have to dig deep me thinks.

We need to get someone willing to stay for 2 years, since we aren't in the next ACL.

I've heard rumours that Viduka is coming back to the Victory. If that's the case, we should make a play for Allsopp

that wont happen unless they sell archie thompson, who is currently melbournes marquee player and signed for the next couple of years. although there were rumours last week that archie wanted out to go to europe to enhance his chances for south africa.
