yeah pretty evenly poised.

i think with laxman injured, australia should win, although the stage is set for harbhajan to pull out one of his 50s that he only ever makes against australia

I am a die hard South African fan.

For a long time when it came to sport I supported two teams: South Africa and anyone who plays Australia. Now that's only the case in the sports I followed since I was young, mainly cricket and rugby. I remember crying after that semi in 1999 - I must have been 8 or 9. That scarred all South Africans. Shaun Pollock was my idol growing up.

I don't think I will ever support the Aus cricket team. My whole family in Australia are SA cricket fans and they all have the same attitude (even though one of my cousins was born in Aus!). I remember my watching a game with one of my older cousins in 2000. We were on the boundary and Glen McGrath was fielding on the rope. My cousin shouted "Take that pole out of your ass McGrath!" and he actually heard it and turned around.

At the moment I am supporting India (which funnily enough is the team South African Indians supported while living in South Africa because of apartheid). I turned 21 recently and it marked the point where I had spent half my life in SA and half here in Aus and so now I do consider myself very much Australian. I support Aus in all other sports. I am a huge Socceroos fan particularly after Germany. Last night in the mens 4X100m South Africa in lane 3 and Aus in lane 4, I think I was hoping more for an Aussie win.

I respect where you're coming from, though I find it hard to understand how you can support a country - but not in everything?

i dont find it hard at all, because personal circumstances change

think of the people that followed the vfl before there was a south australian team - many of these people still follow the other club instead of the crows/power, whilst some have a soft spot for both, and some are now one eyed crows/power fans even though they used to be a different supporter

seems to be the similar type of thing to me
