The draw is a factor, yes, but they are going to earn it.
Hate on Adl??? They've made me so much money this year, I definitely don't hate them!!!

If you read back, it all started on whether Adl was a contender or not and I don't see them as a flag contender at all this year. My point was finishing Top4 (which isn't GTD yet) doesn't make them an auto contender, especially when they haven't beaten any of the main contenders for the flag (except Syd).
Do I see them a contender in the coming years? For sure, I've stated that previously and if they can win a finals game this year, that would greater benefit them for next year and beyond.

What Nth have an easier draw than Adl

Adl get to play the top sides only once at AAMI which is a greater advantage than any other side.
Nth would be currently 6th if we had of won against Ess (missed after siren) & PtA (gave away unbeatable lead in last 10 mins) but on form especially before the weekend, we don't deserve to be anywhere near the Top8 but the draw has kept us in contention.
If Adl played every team twice, they wouldn't finish in the Top4, but would definitely make Top8 on current form.
An easier draw just allows you to finish at a higher ladder position, and that will give you a little advantage if you can get a home final or double chance, but in the end, the teams with finals experience always seem to prevail.

There is only 2 games difference between 2nd & 7th. By the end of the season, you don't reckon a much easier draw doesn't have a major impact on where you finish?
