First half there were a number of forward movements that fizzled out because no one ran down pitch with the ball carrier.
bugger me, but I struggle to articulate this version of football!
Oh, yes, it was in the first 30 min I wrote that.

Re: A-League Season 2011/2012
hehe ball carrier
Sometimes it's better to just get out of the effing way and make more space by doing so, always have to be careful of offside too.
Adelaide missed a couple of sitters, spewing van Dijk didn't get another one and also Slory probably should have done better even though the ball was at a horrible height when he received it. Both in my fantasy team, oh well.
Broich tearing up <insert opposition here, in any given round> should help the fantasy score a bit.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I thought the same thing, then saw the replay several minutes later.
Ball was at waist height - that's horrible. It was at a perfectly fine height for pretty much anyone else, but that guy is tiny!

A-League Season 2011/2012
Was a frickin awesome atmosphere at the game! First half was slightly flat I guess, but both teams were kinda 'sparring' I guess.
Second half, especially after the goal was excellent. Vidosic was best on ground by a mile. He always seemed to have time to turn and run at the MV defense, partly because they let him, but mostly because his first touch is world class.
The combination up front with Dario playing just in behind Sergio, with slory and caravella on the wings worked excellently. The only downside of that is that one of my favourites in Bruce Djite will spend a fair bit of time on the pine, but that's ok I guess.
Our defense was great I thought. Mullen won't get his spot at right back back because Malik played well, but our central pairing of
McKain and susak was great! Susak's job curtailing kewell was brilliant.
I think there are only two ways in which we would improve easily. I think mckains distribution from the back needs improvement, he seems to the one responsible when we revert back to our boring long ball crap.
Although levchenko was better on this game, his first touch still wasn't that great.
Other than that we played great, and with slightly better finishing could and should have had 2 or 3.

Cops kept all he defeat fans in the ground until everybody else had left. Hope they got the batons out on those pricks. Three of them were ejected after they went one down, one for trying to throw a cup of beer at Dario Vidosic while he was taking a corner, and two for being complete tards.

Re: A-League Season 2011/2012
Are they building a bigger stadium in Adelaide for soccer? Pity Hindmarsh only holds ~15k
Good game. Both evenly matched sides and it was one defensive error which cost the Victory in the end. Once Leijer was sent off you should have scored another goal. That Van Dijk to Slory miss was ghey given they are both on my DT.
I really dislike Fabio in defence. There's no room for showponies in defence. Just have to be solid, tough work horses with heaps of discipline. We need more Vargas-like defenders.

Not building one, because soccer is ignored here. "Fans" say we need to consistently sell out Howmuch, but that's a 'chicken or the egg' argument for mine.
Adelaide were a lot better than last week. Dario a huge get, Flores who???
Trishan, think we had 7-2 shots late in 1st half, we were dominating for periods (hit the crossbar twice I think). Playing Kewell as lone striker is a bad move.
