Can anyone help me out with some info on Australia's 2006 World Cup results. I know we went pretty far and were screwed in the end (I know that and I don't really follow soccer), but I'm just trying to gather some real basic results, to show an American friend we aren't chumps when it comes to the round ball and more specifically the last World Cup. Since I'm not a huge soccer fan (just a band wagon Aussie supporter) I'm not really sure where to look. Thanks in advance.

It should've been 3-2. The ball was in the net... and that was my bet on the game too
Fuck Graham Poll is a tosspot.

Got past the group stage and into the quarter finals where we lost to Italy because some referee's truly do need some glasses or at least an instant replay. Dodgy penalty just outside the box in the 75th minute or something like that.

93rd mate. I hate soccer and I still get pissed off at that decision. I looked this clip up for my US friends:
And it made me mad all over again. Damn Italian cheats!

Should have had Rebecca Gibney playing for us, she could act the f*ck out of a soccer game!
