Can they push on for twin double hundreds?

I'm hoping they can push on to over 600, with a fiver on the draw - there is a bit of rain forecast for the rest of the match.

That's why I'm watching!

400 partnership + twin double hundreds.

And double header NBA on OneHD (Two good games too)

Bit of switching.

Nope.

Their effort was the 6th highest partnership for Australia in Tests, and Australia's 2nd highest ever for the 4th wicket, just short of Don Bradman and Bill Ponsford at the Oval 1934

122.6

Danish Kaneria to Clarke, OUT, aims to pad up to one, it misses the pad and it hits off stump - ending a stand of 352

MJ Clarke b Danish Kaneria 166 (328b 19x4 0x6) SR: 50.60

i just watched clarke get out in the lunch break, it was really weird.

looks like he picked it as the wrong'un and it just basically went straight on with the angle and clipped the top of off stump

That's also the first double-ton at Bellerive in a Test

124.4

Danish Kaneria to Ponting, FOUR, drives to point and he's there with a boundary, to move to a double ton on his home ground - well played

OK Ponting on 199*

Second highest 4th wicket partnership in Australia by anyone, missing Laxman and Tendulkar by 1 run.

edit: makes sense now

This is the worse article ever

THE Aussies have declared at 8/519, with captain Ricky Ponting smashing a huge 209 - the first ever double-century in a Hobart Test.

Ponting's amazing innings helped put Australia into a commanding position against Pakistan.

The milestone came shortly before Michael Clarke was dismissed for 166, not playing a shot to a ball from Danish Kaneria which pitched on leg, spun away from him and clipped the off-stump.

Clarke was out BEFORE Punter got his 200.

Pursuing quick runs, Ponting lofted a straight delivery and was caught, giving Mohammad Aamer his man despite dropping Ponting on zero the day before.

Ponting and Clarke had built the biggest partnership in Hobart making 352.

Mike Hussey then made a brief appearance at the crease before he was caught by Ahmed for six.

Hussey's replacement, Brad Haddin came close to posting a half-century, but was caught off Danish Kaneria.

Marcus North made his way to the crease and hit 21 off 46 balls before also falling victim to Sarfraz Ahmed's safe hands off a delivery from Mohammad Asif.

Hussey was out yesterday; Haddin replaced Punter - North replaced Clarke.
