Football: Australia v Qatar (spoilers)

Postby BigPete33 » Wed Feb 06, 2008 8:35 pm

Half time and we're spanking them 3-0 !

Qatar are the suck!

My thoughts prior to kickoff were that we were massively underprepared whilst they've had ages to sort something out. Would have tipped a draw (had good odds too). Now however, we should win 10-0 with the amount of chances we are creating.

Timmy Cahill is looking in good form and Josh Kennedy is absolutely terrorising them in the air.

Loving the format of the World Cup Qualifying this time around and if we don't make it this time we've only ourselves to blame. So far so good!
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

The roos are rated like 40 countries or something above them aren't they? Not exactly an awesome competition :)

something like that

final score surprisingly remained at 3-0 !

Some of Qatar's players seemed to remember they have testicles and even plucked up the courage to have a shot or two on goal. Not very good shots, but at least they gave Mark Schwarzer something to do :)

Only downside of the evening is Josh Kennedy seemed to roll his ankle.

Total shock on how Qatar performed. I expected a tight game with Qatar takin it down. Checking the form and progress i figured that would be the result. Keep an eye out for those guys.

Guys due to the scrutiny NPL comes under from government, social and other outside groups we cannot be seen to promoting gambling in any way shape or form. Even though this is loosely associated with NPL in it's entirety we have to be careful. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes even if, sorry Bacon.
A bit of a difference between tipping and gambling, not much of one but still a huge grey area at this time.

i have heard in the US of people being fired because they have organised a NFL tipping comp at their workplace, because its gambling.

Seems that in australia however, tipping and melbourne cup sweeps are the norm and are considered part of australian culture. anything outside that is not on in my opinion.

so are we allowed to set up a forum tipping contest, even if there is no money attached?

Already in the pipeline for a NPLSA **FREE** Footy Tipping Comp.

I just need to set it up.

May even have an NPLSA Fantasy Football League too
