It's that time of the year folks. Only 51 days until round 1 of the AFL season. Supercoach and Dream Team both opened the new Fantasy Season as of midnight last night. I'm organising 2 cash leagues, one for DT and one for SC. $100 entry and prize pool gets split between top 4 at the end of Fantasy Finals (probably be 50%, 30% 10%, 10%).
I'm sure someone will start a free league for the casual Fantasy player but if you are serious about your Fantasy season then you need to be in one or both of these leagues. Reply in this thread or PM me for more details. Game on!

If you ask me, Muhammed Ali in his prime was much better than anti lock brakes.

Re: Fantasy Football 2011
Thanks for the compliment Todd but its a different beast this year. The 17th team and the introduction of byes means totally new strategies will come into play. That said, I always figured it would be tough to get players from here after the hype around last season....
Looks like SC league will fill fast, that has always been easy. We've even started talking about a Division system, with relegation and promotions at the end of the season. I'm just not sure I'll be able to convince my SC tragic friends to play DT as well. I personally swung in favour of DT last year after a deep run.
I'm also keen to take side action with anyone who wants to make their season more interesting!

Re: Fantasy Football 2011
Yeah they are essentially the same. I did all my homework for SC last year then whipped together a similar DT side in the last minute, and sure enough that worked. The main difference is they use a different scoring system. SC is complicated(50+ different stats are tallied and weighted)and partially secret(intellectual property rights etc etc) and DT is basic(6 points for a goal, 2 points for a handball etc....). As a result, the DT scores are updated in real time, and the SC scores are updated quarterly(if your lucky). If they would update SC scores in real time(even if they were unweighted) then SC would definitely be better.

The League is very funny indeed. Loosely based around 4 mates in an NFL fantasy league.
