Yeah, and watch out for Jason Day down the track, that guy is a gun!

Would love to take you up on your offer for a round, but Larx might be the guy these days. If my knee would let me, I'd take both of your money!! ;)

Never thought I would be posting in the golf thread lol But saw an article about the McIllroy guy I thought was interesting:

The father of newly crowned US Open champion Rory McIlroy stands to win £200,000 ($306,351) if his 22-year-old son can pull off another famous victory at the British Open next month.

Gerry McIlroy, who watched his son win his first Major title at Congressional Country Club on Monday (EST), had enough faith in his boy at age 15 to wager a £400 ($612) bet on Rory to win the British Open by the age of 25.

The elder McIlroy was joined by three friends, who each staked £100 at odds of 500-1.

lol trishan you aren't posting about golf, just betting :D. but anyway, i would have thought 500-1 is actually pretty shallow in that market. but still a pretty cool story.

Yeah I don't mind eratically belting a stupid white ball around on the odd occasion Dave. It would be great to organise a round some time.

It was great to see McIlroy fight back after his implosion at The Masters. He is definately going to be stronger in mind set after this win.

Jason Day is an exciting propect as Jo said, consecutive 2nd placings is fantastic and only a matter of time before he cracks the big one.

Four, play through, balls, birdies, irons, spikes & a woodie, 18 holes, 4 rounds, & a hole in 1 occasionally followed by the bar all sounds good.
