AJG wrote:OK, 20BB now then huh? - even without antes I still tend to think in terms of 'M', but Im trying to change that to BBs as has been previously suggested (I think also by you Garth?), old habits die hard... My only issue with this is when antes are in play, it doesnt reconcile with different ante:SB ratios... but this is only a small issue really.

I cant remember exactly what the blinds stack sizes were, but benny the cunt was the only one I remember worrying about that much. I think the next biggest wasnt much bigger than mine? but not sure on that.

I commented after the FT finished, that thinking about it since the hand, not open shoving was probably a mistake.... although I may have said this only to Caleb, I cant remember.
And yeah, had antes been in play, I certainly would have open pushed...

And yeah, you were running HOT!
I even heard people outside during the break commenting on it... "Damn bennyjams is hitting everything!" :)

Just on the whole "how many BBs is getting too many to open shove", basically my thought process was that the blinds (1k/2k) would only add ~12% to my stack if I wasnt called (more likely with a push?) and I could probably get a call and then shove any flop, adding 4K (5 or 6k if it isnt the BB who calls) to the pot (if they fold), but of course Id be happy still if I only picked up the blinds.... Not sure what Id have done if 2+ had called, but thought that unlikely at the time... Is this reasoning bad? Ok you have said open shoving is the play to make, but am I in serious error thinking like this? cos its not atypical of how I will think playin that stack size...

from memory, you were on the button and i was in the small blind, is that right?

anyway, i think the best thing about open shoving is that i cant re-steal from you. obviously depends on the people in the blinds, but i definitely fold if you shove.
