Poker In The Port?

Postby ibd77 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 5:48 pm

With the disappointing news of Sailmaster Tavern cancelling their Monday night APL free roll game, is there news on other venues in the Port Adelaide region hosting a FHG game in the future either free roll or CBI?

A couple of years ago I had options to go to the Semaphore Hotel, The Port Club, The Portland Hotel, Grand Junction Tavern, Semaphore Palais and the Sailmaster Tavern.

Now the only option to play a FHG game is on the Friday night at the Sailmaster Tavern providing that doesn't get the axe next.

I would prefer to play 888PL or APL but the options are getting thin and I may consider playing other leagues as they now host some of the above mentioned venues.

What are FHG doing to regain some ground in this region?

Mansfield Park runs a CBI game on Sundays as well, Ian.

I don't mean to sound fussy but Sunday afternoons are no good for me so Mansfield Park can be ruled out. I dislike the Tuesday game at Checkside because of the horrible blind and ante structure (IMO) hence why I only play the $1000 GTD games from now on.

I may consider the Wednesday night free roll game, we shall see. ;)
