You may find that smaller than expected numbers in the last challenge Semi was the catalyst for a combined Semi this season.

I think it's pretty crap honestly the semi and the challenge was the best way to do it over 2 days now what we got 1 semi and 1 day of poker really poor

There will still be other events John. There are better ways for 888pl to use 10k on prize money than on 100 people. I dare say there will be another Large event that will be open to more people. Hopefully anyway

Don't think there are any side events for this one.

It's just like the first umpteen seasons were really - no different to that.

It's still hard work - still exciting.

really? boooo.

what about a single day cash buyin event?

make it $50, structure can be deeper, say 10k stacks with a passport for 10k, 20 min blinds.

For this event yes, but as to your comment about the best way to do it??

In all honesty there is no way a $15,000 event should be receiving only 20% of the overall qualifiers, that just isn't right and a downright tragedy. Hence why we have scrapped the challenge final.

And I would suggest that you play this tournament before making any comments about the quality of poker.

And I have now played quite a few events at Crown Casino and if you think having to dodge the minefield of less skillful players is something you only experience at the 888PL Semi Final, you are sorely mislead. The quality of play at the JHDS this week has been downright disgraceful from the majority of players.

You will always need to avoid the luck boxes and the less skillful and the absolute hyper aggro players, whether it's a pub freeroll or the WSOP main event, just the overall quality of the entire competition improves as we go up each step.
