Nah egg, you were still in.

Until she heard you telling someone that you were in and probably gonna spend the night at her house. to quote her "major turn off"

Cue facepalm.

Don't blame the wingman when you fly the plane into a mountain, top gun.

For the record I never said that. But gold comment though Matty. "Flying the plane into the mountain", made me literally laugh out loud.

But now that everyone knows that Shrek and Egg are the same person. I wonder if more Egg & Bacon jokes being breakfast being buddies etc will continue :P
If you've got luck...use it!

There were a few memorable hands for me as a spectator,

The hand where xtal crippled Swannie anf left him with 1500, a number of hands before the fateful hand swannie had been stealing pots with some super aggressive play.
The killer hand Xtal shoved early and everyone folded around to Trev, he went into the tank and eventually called, flipping over A 9 Xtal shows AA close to a 300,000 pot.

Xtal shove on Steve just the pain on his face when he was decided what to do, he must have caluculated every possible option except a stone cold bluff, but its a classic.

And Macca's AK decision. Mac was in a world of pain with this one, of the 6 riverlanders left I have played 4 of them regurally, I had no inside knowelege of Duncan. One wonders what would have happened if you called, loose the hand to Dunc you finish 6th, win the hand you have a 1.8 million + stack and tilt at the title.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

the chick that was sorta interested in egg was matthew's gf's friend. at one stage, matthew's gf said we could crash there if we wanted. i think me and egg were talking about this at one stage.

hilarious thing is that egg didn't realise that the friend and the hot chick were one and the same person!

so yeah she would have overheard egg saying that he is going to stay at some chicks house in berri.

Had a great weekend, just like last year - and just like last year I was knocked out just before the dinner break. After hours of folding, and never getting higher than a 27K stack all day, when I realised I had trips on the last hand and pushed all in, the potential flush on the board that Russ ended up having completely eluded me. Oh well.

As for the repecharge - much the same, fold after fold, but did actually win a couple of hands, which was a nice change! Got to witness some interesting play, and was both annoyed and amused by the "check check" girls on mine and Pete's table who said "people know not to sit with us, because we just check, we never bet." Highly amusing to see one of them lose with QQ after checking all the way to the river until her friend actually braved a bet. QQ girl called it and the other flipped 2 pair of fairly mediocre cards that beat her friend's QQ.

Friday was by far my favourite night (winning a bottle of scotch was a big factor!), although the pitiful amount of sleep I got certainly didn't help my cause on Saturday.

So, a great big thank you to all those involved. And a big thank you to Mat and Scott - if they'd kicked me out of the car on the way up for annoying the hell out of them with my "i have a cold, and i'm sick and snuffly" sounds, I wouldn't have made it to Berri. So, thanks guys for not doing that! :D
