Re: Berri DEEP STACK Tournament - Discussion
It's not a matter of what we want or what the players would like, but rather a matter of how many chips we have to supply 500 people with a 20,000 start stack.

Re: Berri DEEP STACK Tournament - Discussion
I've got a chip set (that I won in my Song lyric quiz
) so I can bring my own chips if you like.
Garth, if most of the chips are gonna be in Berri, what's gonna happen to the regular Sat/Sun games??

Re: Berri DEEP STACK Tournament - Discussion
lol u will be pushing it if there is 500 runners
i.e 100 venues * 40 runners * 3000 chips = 12 million in chips
500 people * 20000 chips = 10 million
that doesn't even include the fact that there are gonna be a crap load more 25s and 100s used than normal, because of the antes
the final table is gonna be awesome, players will have little castles in front of them. please dont chip out too early, there will be nothing better than seeing these super monster stacks
edit: very true muzz, the finals branded chips might be an option. but even if they have a thousand runners at a state final, each getting 3K each, this only gives us 6K with 500 ppl, nowhere near 20K
edit*2: i suppose we will have 1K chips or even 5K chips in our startign stack, so just getting more of these might work. but then you still need lower chips for antes.
lol im glad i dont have to worry about all this crap

Re: Berri DEEP STACK Tournament - Discussion
I like your math, but each venue would have more than 3K for each runner. Cos you might have 200 in greens to begin, but that upgrades to a 500 later on. They'd have about 4 yellow chips for each runner, then the equivalent in that to break down to 25 chips.
Or something like that.

Re: Berri DEEP STACK Tournament - Discussion
true, but the percentage increase in chips would be the same in each tournament, so would effectively cancel out.
so there probably is more than 12 million needed in everyday NPL, (in fact heaps more counting spare chips etc)
probably pushing it even tighter considering there would be more chipups in the deepstack tourney compared to a normal event.

True deepstack means chip races peoples!
And believe me the way we are going to do it is the way any deepstack tourney is run, so your big stack on the table is going to get plenty annoyed!!!!
LOL.
You will learn in time so no asking what do I mean.
